"She's never been able to ride any other kids bike" - Ruby's Story

When we first saw this Facebook post here at ByK headquarters, pretty much everyone had a tear in their eye from the joy of seeing this little girl riding a bike. Ruby has cerebral palsy so riding a bike is really tricky for her. But as her Mum says, "The longer frame and larger, narrow wheels make it a lot easier to use, plus it's only 8kg, making it crazy light!" It is stories like this that make our jobs and our lives so worthwhile. Making kids bikes that really make a difference to kids lives. In her original Facebook post, Ruby's Mum says, "Today we bought Ruby a bike she can use! It's a ByK Kids Bikes E350. The longer frame and larger, narrow wheels make it a lot easier to use, plus it's only 8kg, making it crazy light!"

"Ruby's never been able to use a big kids bike before so we're all a bit excited!!"

Ruby's Mum says, "She had a stroke so struggles to use her right side, but her Byk is perfect for her! She's never been able to ride any other kids bike! We got a handle to put on the back to help her with slopes and corners but on the flat she can do it all by herself so long as the left pedal starts in front. It's really exciting" [caption id="attachment_1895" align="aligncenter" width="850"]Ruby riding her E-350 kids bike in Hobart Ruby byking it in Hobart on her E-350 kids bike.[/caption]
