Last year we covered the Great Cycle Challenge when we gave a ByK bike to young rider, Charlie Haggett, who helped raise awareness of Children's Cancer and much needed funds to research into the the disease that kills the most In 2014, the Great Cycle Challenge raised $2,141,635 to fight kids' cancer and already with the riding about to begin on 1st October, they have raised nearly $1,000,000.
Right now, cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Australia. Over 600 Australian children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
You can help raise money for this great cause by either signing up to ride yourself, or sponsor someone or a team of riders that are challenging themselves. We know of one little rider - 5 year old Zoe - who has challenged herself to ride 30km in the month of October:
