Kids Can Ride Like Their Heroes in the TDU Family Day BUPA Mini Tour for Kids

It's on again - the Santos Tour Down Under, and more importantly, the Bupa Mini Tour for Kids!  

On Sunday 24 January kids aged from six to 12 can ride on the UCI World Tour track, just like the world's cycling superheroes!

Bupa mini tour for kids participants will ride along the start/finish straight of the Be Safe Be Seen MAC Stage 6 street circuit just a few hours before the world's elite cyclists race the final stage of the Santos Tour Down Under. Children will be grouped according to their age, with each group having a different starting time from 9am. They then have 20 minutes to ride as many laps of the special mini tour track as they can during that allocated time before the next age group commences.

Family Day Celebrations at the Tour Down Under 2016

Once the Tour is finished, head over to the Family Day celebrations in Elder Park and take in all the action of the final stage. In 2015, the Santos Tour Down Under held a family day on Elder Park where kids could enjoy face painters, a balloonist and a jumping castle, among much more. Children could get arty and crafty at the Plaster Fun House, see an MFS fire truck, make their own breakfast in the Dirty Girl Kitchen, challenge their friends to a game of FIFA 15 or Forza 5 on the Xbox One consoles at the Game Truck, climb the Scouts SA rock wall and play with giant board games. Registration: $30 per child (between six and 12 years only) Inclusions:

• Exclusive access to the Be Safe Be Seen MAC Stage 6 circuit
• Bupa mini tour for kids t-shirt to wear while riding and to keep

What you need to participate:

• A bicycle in good condition
• An Australian standards-approved helmet
• Parent/guardian’s permission

Participants will receive their Bupa mini tour for kids ride guide once registrations have closed. This will include more information for the day such as individual age group start times. Links:
