Hawkes Bay School Receives 60 New ByK Kids Bikes

hawkesbayBIKE ON: Maraenui School pupil Saxon Walker, 8, tries out the new pump track installed this month.Another New Zealand school, in Hawkes Bay, has been the recipient of 60 new ByK Kids Bikes and a brand new cycling track to use them on, as part of the Bike On charitable trust and local trusts and charities fundraising efforts. They're hoping it will be the development ground for Olympic champs of the future!

Pupils at Maraenui and Peterhead schools have been enjoying their new 500m cycling track, skills course and pump track on the ByK Kids Bikes which they received in a range of sizes with helmets for each pupil.

The first Hawkes Bay School to receive the ByK Kids Bikes was in an effort to coax kids back into riding. 

Bike On director Paul McArdle said with a track opened at St Mary's in Hastings, in February, and the two new tracks, there were 1000 Hawke's Bay pupils biking regularly.
