Banksia Park - the Perfect Spot for Big and Little Kids To Ride Bikes

This would have to be one of the best places around Melbourne for a family/kids day out with bicycles.

An almost 1 km looped bicycle ride - mostly flat but with a few slopes perfect for kids even on a balance bike.  You are surrounded by trees, flowers, historical signposts and many birds teeming around the Yarra and the parks.

Right near the Heide Museum of Modern Art with its beautiful grounds and sculptures and of course, the gallery itself, is this wonderful looped ride along the Yarra River.  

Plus, Cafe Vue Heide provides excellent coffee and snacks and meals if you didn't pack a picnic or plan a bbq!

There are several bbq's for use, and not far from both the bike track and the Heide is a huge playground
